Description
Pineapple Jack Feminized is a blend of our classic Jack Herer and Piña Colada created by our Breeding Grounds division in collaboration with the team at Serge Cannabis. The result is a 70% sativa that captures the legacy of its legendary genetics while adding something new to create a truly unique blend. Piña Colada is an indica-dominant hybrid which adds tropical flavors and Jack Herer’s more classically sativa profile.
Unlike the more well-balanced Jack Herer, Pineapple Jack Feminized is undeniably a sativa-dominant hybrid with a tall, lanky structure, and somewhat stringy buds. However, these flowers are incredibly dense and this strain is capable of producing XL yields for growers with the headroom to fit these tall plants.
Growth pattern of Pineapple Jack Feminized
As one would expect from a 70% sativa-dominant hybrid, Pineapple Jack Feminized cannabis seeds typically develop into quite tall and lanky plants. Indoors, these plants are likely to finish flowering at heights ranging from 43-63 inches with plants grown under natural sunlight capable of growing up to 118 inches tall.
Over the strain’s 60 to 70-day flowering period, indoor growers can expect their plants to generate an XL yield of 460 to 650 grams per square meter of dense, flavorful buds. Those growing these plants outdoors can look forward to harvests of anywhere from 560 to 640 grams per plant. The buds from Pineapple Jack Feminized are long and somewhat stringy with a very foxtail appearance. Despite this, they are extremely dense.
The plants themselves tend to take on a classic Christmas tree shape with moderate internodal spacing and fairly dense vegetative growth. The densely-packed leaves are razor-thin and cover the entire plant; flowers and all. This, combined with the somewhat stringy buds, means that trimming Pineapple Jack Feminized can be a bit of a chore. Luckily, the large sugar leaves are covered in glistening trichomes making them a great choice for extracts.
This strain’s long slender structure makes it an amazing choice for advanced growing techniques such as mainlining, lollipopping, or screen of green (SCROG) growing. However, these same features, combined with the strain’s relatively slender lateral branches, make Pineapple Jack Feminized a poor candidate for supercropping or a sea of green (SOG) setup.
Taste, and smell of Pineapple Jack Feminized
As harvest approaches, Pineapple Jack Feminized plants give off a somewhat mild—though distinct—aroma of fresh pine with undertones of tropical pineapple. Once the buds have been properly cured, they begin to take on a sweeter, zestier citrus aroma blended with light hazy hints of ammonia and diesel. A potent and pleasing combination.
The flavor is largely what one would expect from the scent as a smooth wave of tropical pineapple and creaminess hits you on the inhale. On the back end, users can look forward to more citrus notes with a spicy, herbal finish. The sweet, citrus, and creamy notes all combine to remind one of a tropical beach cocktail.
